Josef Iser 1881-1958. German/Romanian. Studied in Munich and Paris under Andre Declain. Considered one of the best East European artists of his time. Known for expressionism (thick, unmodulated, lines and steep angles). In 1955 was elected as a full member of the Romanian Arts Academy.
